Kilian The Cocktails Collection with Piña Paraíso, Midnight Espresso and Sparkling Royal

Kilian The Cocktails Collection: Three New Scents Join the Bar

Three cocktails, three destinations and a more accessible new entry point into the Kilian universe.

Kilian The Cocktails Collection takes the house’s fascination with mixology one step further. The new 2026 trio introduces Sparkling Royal, Piña ParaÍso and Midnight Espresso: three Eau de Parfums inspired by cocktails, destinations and different moments of the day.

This is not simply another extension of the house’s liquor-themed universe. The trio also represents a strategic shift for Kilian, bringing its bar concept into a more accessible format and price bracket while retaining the brand’s polished, nightlife-driven fantasy.

From Angels’ Share to a complete fragrance bar

Alcohol has never been a decorative reference in the Kilian universe. Founder Kilian Hennessy, heir to the Hennessy cognac family, has repeatedly used spirits, cocktails and nocturnal rituals as part of the house’s olfactory language. Angels’ Share turned that connection into one of the brand’s greatest commercial successes; now The Cocktails transforms the idea into a fragrance wardrobe.

Rather than building the collection around one signature accord, Kilian assigns each perfume a setting. Sparkling Royal belongs to a Parisian aperitif, Piña Paraíso to a sunlit tropical afternoon, and Midnight Espresso to the after-dark energy of New York. The question is no longer only what one wants to smell like, but where the fragrance is meant to take them.

Sparkling Royal: the Parisian aperitif

Created by Calice Becker, Sparkling Royal is inspired by the effervescence of a Kir Royal. Mint and lemon give the opening a bright, chilled quality before rose and blackcurrant move into the centre of the composition. Tonka bean and soft musk form the base, extending the fruity-floral character with a smoother and more sensual finish.

Of the three, Sparkling Royal appears to be the lightest and most polished proposition: less dessert, more rooftop aperitivo. The combination of mint, blackcurrant and rose suggests freshness without abandoning the glamour expected from Kilian.

Piña Paraíso: Copacabana in a glass

Piña Paraíso, composed by Mathieu Nardin, takes the Piña Colada as its starting point. Pineapple and rum provide a luminous, juicy opening, followed by a creamy heart of coconut and frangipani. Bourbon vanilla and tonka bean warm the drydown and give the tropical structure a more addictive finish.

The brand places the fragrance on Copacabana at golden hour: sun on skin, music rising and the afternoon gradually becoming a celebration. It is the most overtly escapist member of the collection, although the presence of frangipani may keep the composition from becoming a purely edible pineapple-and-coconut gourmand.

Pineapple is also playing a leading role in Rabanne 1 Million Black, although its combination with vanilla and ebony woods takes it in a very different direction.

Midnight Espresso: when dinner becomes nightlife

Also created by Mathieu Nardin, Midnight Espresso is the darkest and most gourmand of the trio. Coffee and rum open the fragrance with an intense, liqueur-like effect. Dark chocolate and toasted hazelnut build a richer heart, while Bourbon vanilla and Siam benzoin create a warm, velvety base.

Its reference is the Espresso Martini, but the atmosphere is more specific: the suspended moment after dinner when nobody is ready to go home. Compared with the daylight of Piña Paraíso and the polished sparkle of Sparkling Royal, Midnight Espresso clearly occupies the late-night end of the new wardrobe.

A more accessible side of Kilian

The positioning may be as important as the scents themselves. In the United States, each 75 ml bottle launches at $150, alongside a 10 ml size. Vogue Business describes The Cocktails as Kilian’s first move into the prestige price segment, below the ultra-luxury positioning of signatures such as Angels’ Share and Love, Don’t Be Shy.

That does not make the collection inexpensive, but it does make it a noticeably easier entry point into the house. The colorful cut-glass bottles, travel-friendly sizes and instantly readable cocktail references also suggest a deliberate attempt to reach fragrance buyers who prefer variety over a single signature scent.

Three moods, one coherent idea

On paper, The Cocktails Collection is remarkably easy to understand: Sparkling Royal for something fresh and dressed-up, Piña Paraíso for tropical escapism, and Midnight Espresso for a darker gourmand mood. That clarity could be dismissed as commercial, but it is also what makes the launch coherent.

Kilian is not abandoning its identity. It is repackaging one of its most recognizable obsessions — perfume as nightlife, indulgence and liquid pleasure — into three colorful destinations. The only question left is which table we are sitting at first.
