Your Devotion: Dolce&Gabbana Serves Vanilla Milk
Your Devotion Eau de Parfum Intense is the latest addition to Dolce&Gabbana’s Devotion collection, arriving in 2026 with melon, white flowers and a creamy vanilla milk accord. The fragrance keeps the gourmand warmth associated with the line, but introduces a brighter, fruitier personality. Apparently devotion now comes with a Sicilian fruit course and a glass of milk. Created by Olivier Cresp, the new composition is officially classified as a fruity gourmand. Sicilian melon and mandarin form the opening, orange blossom and gardenia create the floral heart, while vanilla milk, Madagascar vanilla, sandalwood and oakmoss shape the base.
This is a launch preview based on official information, not a review from skin. The combination sounds playful and comforting, but also slightly risky. Melon can be fresh and addictive or take an unexpected detour towards shampoo. Vanilla milk can feel deliciously soft or turn the entire composition into scented body lotion. Naturally, I need to smell it.
Sicilian melon enters the Devotion universe
The opening centres on Sicilian melon, described as juicy, vibrant and addictive. Mandarin adds citrus brightness and reinforces the fruit’s freshness. This immediately separates Your Devotion from the candied citrus signature of the original Devotion, replacing pastry-like warmth with something more succulent and summery.
Melon remains an unusual choice for a major designer launch, especially when the rest of the formula leans creamy and gourmand. Its watery freshness could give the fragrance lift, preventing vanilla milk from becoming too dense. It could also create a playful contrast between fruit and cream, somewhere between an elegant floral and a dessert that arrived wearing jewellery.
The key question is realism. A natural-feeling melon would make the opening distinctive. A vague fruity accord would still add brightness, but the launch would lose some of the personality promised by its pyramid. Until it reaches skin, the melon remains both the main attraction and the main source of suspense.
Orange blossom and gardenia bring the white florals
Orange blossom links Your Devotion to the existing collection. It brings radiance and a familiar Mediterranean floral character, while gardenia adds a creamier white floral effect. Together, they should bridge the juicy opening and the milky base without making the composition feel divided into unrelated sections.
This heart is particularly appealing on paper. White flowers can give a gourmand structure and elegance, stopping sweetness from becoming flat. Gardenia also makes sense beside milk and vanilla because its floral character can feel naturally creamy, while orange blossom keeps the centre luminous.
There is still potential for excess. Melon, gardenia, orange blossom and vanilla milk are not shy materials. Balance will determine whether Your Devotion feels airy and cocooning or like several beautiful people talking over one another at dinner.
Vanilla milk, sandalwood and oakmoss
The drydown introduces Vanilla Milk, a lactonic accord described as sensorial, comforting and cocooning. Madagascar vanilla reinforces the collection’s signature warmth, while sandalwood adds smooth woody depth. Oakmoss provides a drier, earthier contrast beneath the creaminess.
Vanilla milk is clearly the commercial headline here. Milky gourmands remain extremely visible in contemporary perfumery, but the melon and white floral structure could stop Your Devotion from becoming another predictable vanilla cloud. At least, that is the hope. The perfume world already owns enough beige sweetness to redecorate several apartments.
Oakmoss is the quiet wildcard. If noticeable, it could give the base texture and prevent the lactonic accord from feeling overly cosmetic. If used mainly as support, the overall impression will probably remain smooth, sweet and intimate, with sandalwood carrying the transition into the drydown.
Olivier Cresp returns to Devotion
Master perfumer Olivier Cresp created Your Devotion exclusively for Dolce&Gabbana. His work frequently explores gourmand ideas with a clear, accessible structure, making him a logical choice for a composition built around fruit, flowers and vanilla milk.
The fragrance does not appear to reject the Devotion identity. Instead, it reworks the line’s sweetness through a fresher fruit and a softer lactonic texture. This is a flanker with a recognisable family connection, but enough new material to justify its own name rather than simply changing the bottle colour and hoping nobody asks questions.
A latte bottle with the Sacred Heart
Your Devotion is presented in a latte-coloured lacquered glass bottle, inspired by the milky notes of the fragrance. The front is decorated with Dolce&Gabbana’s Sacred Heart emblem in antique gold, maintaining the ornate visual identity of the collection.
The creamy bottle communicates the concept immediately. It is softer than the gold liquid of the original and more literal about the lactonic direction. Subtle is not the objective, obviously. Dolce&Gabbana placed an enormous golden heart on a bottle the colour of vanilla milk. The message has been delivered.
Is Your Devotion worth smelling?
On paper, Your Devotion Eau de Parfum Intense is one of the more intriguing mainstream gourmands of 2026. Melon and mandarin offer brightness, gardenia and orange blossom introduce a creamy floral centre, and vanilla milk promises a comforting finish supported by sandalwood and oakmoss.
Its success will depend on texture and balance. If the melon stays juicy and the milk remains airy, the result could feel playful, modern and genuinely suited to warmer weather. If everything becomes too sweet, powdery or cosmetic, the beautiful note list may smell more conventional than it reads.
For now, it earns a place on the testing list. A melon, white floral and vanilla milk fragrance in an ivory bottle covered by a golden Sacred Heart is not interested in minimalism, and neither am I when the concept is this entertaining. Skin will deliver the final verdict.
