Dsquared2 Icon Dude and Icon Doll new fragrances 2026

Dsquared2 Icon Dude & Icon Doll:Subtle Was Never the Plan

Dsquared2 has never exactly built its universe around whispering. Denim, sex appeal, logos, attitude: subtlety was never really the assignment. Icon Dude and Icon Doll, the brand’s new fragrance duo, understand that perfectly.

The names alone tell you where this is going. Dude comes dressed in metallic grey and black, Doll in glossy pink, both carrying the oversized ICON lettering that has become part of the Dsquared2 visual vocabulary. They are playful, knowingly loud and very difficult to mistake for anything else on a perfume shelf. In other words, very Dsquared2.

More interestingly, the pair is not simply the same idea divided into pink and grey packaging. The two compositions move in noticeably different directions, while the campaign ties them together as one deliberately cheeky, sexy duo.

Icon Dude: Citrus, Aromatics and Dark Woods

Icon Dude is presented as an amber fougère. Blood orange, lemon and ginger open the composition, followed by sage, lavender, geranium and black tulip. The base moves into Akigalawood, Indonesian patchouli, cedarwood and black musk.

On paper, it sounds like the darker and more aromatic half of the couple: bright citrus and ginger up front, classic aromatic materials through the centre, then a woody, earthy base. The black tulip adds the sort of slightly theatrical detail that feels entirely appropriate here. Nobody invited restraint to this party anyway.

Icon Doll: Jasmine, Praline and a Salty Twist

Icon Doll takes the sweeter route, but the structure is more interesting than the pink bottle might initially suggest. Mandarin, lemon, pink pepper and blackcurrant form the opening. Two jasmine facets, Indian and Egyptian, meet white praline and a salty accord in the heart, before sandalwood, musk, vanilla, ash wood and Akigalawood settle into the base.

That combination of jasmine, praline and salt is the part that immediately catches our attention. Sweetness is clearly present, but the salty accent and woody foundation could keep Doll from becoming another straightforward sugary floral. At least on paper. Perfume has taught us repeatedly that pyramids are charming little liars until skin gets involved.

A Very Dsquared2 Power Couple

The visual campaign makes the concept even clearer. Dude and Doll are not trying to introduce a new era of minimalist perfumery. They are selling attitude: denim, skin, oversized branding and the kind of unapologetic early-2000s energy that suddenly feels current again.

That may actually be the smartest part of this launch. Instead of sanding down the brand’s personality to fit the increasingly polished fragrance market, Dsquared2 leans directly into its own codes. Even the bottles look like they were designed to be photographed rather than politely disappear into a bathroom cabinet.

Whether the fragrances themselves can match the personality of the campaign remains the important question. But as a launch, Icon Dude and Icon Doll already know exactly what they want to be. And no, discreet is not one of those things.
