Jean-Claude Ellena is a French master perfumer known for his precise, restrained and luminous style. Born in Grasse into a family of perfumers, he transformed minimalism into a distinctive olfactory language.
As the former in-house perfumer of Hermès, he created fragrances such as Terre d’Hermès, Un Jardin sur le Nil and Voyage d’Hermès. His work also includes First for Van Cleef & Arpels, Déclaration for Cartier, L’Eau d’Hiver for Frédéric Malle and Bergamotto for Laboratorio Olfattivo.
