Jacques Polge

Jacques Polge is a French perfumer who served as Chanel’s in-house Perfumer-Creator from 1978 until his retirement in 2015. The third perfumer to hold the position at the house, he shaped several decades of Chanel fragrance history through creations including Coco, Égoïste, Allure, Coco Mademoiselle, Chance and Bleu de Chanel. He also created the Eau de Parfum interpretation of Chanel N°5 and contributed to the Les Exclusifs de Chanel collection. In 2015, he was succeeded by his son, Olivier Polge.
