Parfums Dusita Mocha Absolu Brings Coffee and Thai Tea Home

A tenth-anniversary gourmand built around two drinks, a family memory and a woody base.

Testing Disclosure: This is a new-release preview based on Parfums Dusita’s official product and campaign pages. I have not tested Dusita Mocha Absolu on skin, so the article does not assess its actual development, projection or longevity.

A Gourmand with a Memory Behind It

Coffee fragrances usually arrive with a familiar script: espresso, chocolate, perhaps a generous spoonful of vanilla. Mocha Absolu includes those pleasures, but Parfums Dusita gives them a more personal reason to be here. Founder and perfumer Pissara Umavijani created the fragrance for the house’s tenth anniversary, recalling the smell of hot mocha and Thai tea when she returned home from school and found her father writing at his desk. He later began preparing the drinks for her. The perfume is intended to carry that small, enduring gesture of care.

The detail matters. This is not simply a dessert photograph translated into a bottle. Dusita’s story places a Thai tea accord beside the expected coffee, connecting the gourmand theme to Pissara’s Bangkok childhood and to the house’s long conversation between scent and the poetry of her father, Montri Umavijani. The whipped cream in the campaign imagery may be doing excellent work, but it is not the whole brief.

The Published Pyramid of Dusita Mocha Absolu

Dusita classifies Mocha Absolu as a woody gourmand and publishes a clear three-part structure:

Top

Arabica coffee, Thai tea, dark chocolate

Heart

toasted almond, cramelized milk, vanilla

Base

sandalwood, tonka bean, benzoin

On paper, the opening has several routes to richness: roasted coffee, bitter cocoa and the aromatic lift of tea. The heart moves toward a creamier register, while sandalwood, tonka and benzoin suggest warmth and structure beneath the edible notes. Those are editorial expectations from the disclosed materials, not observations from wearing the perfume.

Why the Thai tea Accord is the Interesting Part

Dusita calls its Thai tea accord the signature element and says it lends unexpected freshness to the composition. That is the detail most likely to distinguish Mocha Absolu from a straightforward coffee-and-chocolate gourmand. Tea can add a different aromatic contour to a sweet fragrance; whether it cuts through the caramelized milk and vanilla here, or simply adds another layer of comfort, will need a skin test.

The balance also matters for the house. Dusita describes the fragrance as indulgent and enveloping, yet luminous and refined. If the published contrast comes through, Mocha Absolu could make room for both a café gourmand and the poised, emotional style associated with Pissara’s work. For now, the formula has supplied the premise; the wearing experience still has to supply the answer.

The Launch and Its Special Presentation

Dusita Mocha Absolu is listed as an Eau de Parfum in 15 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml bottles, with a 2.5 ml sample also shown on the campaign page. On 22 September 2026, Dusita’s site offered preorders and stated that shipping would begin on 2 October 2026. Its displayed prices were €65 for 15 ml, €160 for 50 ml, €230 for 100 ml and €4.50 for the sample. Availability and prices should be checked again before publication.

The optional special presentation for the 50 ml and 100 ml bottles adds two vials containing the mocha blend and Thai tea accord, a sachet of mocha drink mix and a card signed by Pissara. Dusita lists a €15 supplement and says the presentation is available while stocks last. It is a clever way to make the composition’s two central ideas tangible before anyone reaches for a spray.

A Promising Brief Awaiting a Wear Test

Dusita Mocha Absolu has more to discuss than a fashionable coffee note. Its tenth-anniversary timing, Pissara’s family memory and the Thai tea accord give the release a distinct identity, while the sandalwood-tonka-benzoin base promises a frame for the sweetness. The official materials make a persuasive case for sampling it. They cannot tell us how sweet it becomes, how clearly the tea speaks, or how long the fragrance lasts on skin. Those questions belong to a later review, after the bottle has actually been worn.
