How Davide Parfums approaches fragrance

Davide Parfums is an independent fragrance website built around curiosity, personal experience and a genuine love for perfume.

The goal is simple: to talk about fragrance with enthusiasm, context and honesty, without pretending that personal taste is an objective truth.

Designer, niche, heritage or mainstream, every fragrance deserves to be considered for what it is, not for the category it belongs to.

Reviews

Every fragrance reviewed on Davide Parfums has been personally tested.

Reviews may be based on a fragrance from my own collection or on samples and official discovery formats. When relevant, this will be disclosed in the article.

I do not believe that a perfume needs to be owned in a full bottle for an opinion to be valid, but I do believe that readers should know how that opinion was formed.

Reviews reflect my personal experience with a fragrance. Scent perception, skin chemistry and individual preferences vary considerably, so subjective impressions are presented as exactly that: subjective impressions.

Samples, gifts and collaborations

Unless otherwise stated, the fragrances featured on Davide Parfums are purchased or sampled independently.

If a fragrance, sample or product has been provided by a brand, distributor, retailer or PR agency, this will be clearly disclosed.

Receiving a product does not guarantee positive coverage, a review or inclusion on the website.

Any paid collaboration or sponsored content will always be clearly identified.

New releases and fragrance information

Articles about new releases are based whenever possible on information provided by official brand channels, perfumers, press materials or other reliable sources.

When information has not been officially confirmed, it will not be presented as fact.

Fragrance databases and specialist publications may occasionally be used as additional sources, particularly for historical information or details that are no longer available through official channels.

Independence

Davide Parfums is independently edited.

Brands, retailers and PR agencies do not approve reviews or editorial opinions before publication.

Editorial coverage is not determined by commercial relationships.

A fragrance can be beautiful whether it comes from a historic designer house, an independent perfumer or a bottle sitting on a department store shelf. Price, exclusivity and the word “niche” are not substitutes for quality.

Performance and ratings

Fragrance performance can vary significantly depending on skin, climate, application and individual perception.

For this reason, Davide Parfums does not treat longevity or projection as universal measurements of quality.

A perfume does not automatically become better because it survives twelve hours and announces its arrival from the opposite side of the street.

The focus is instead on composition, character, evolution and the experience of wearing it.

Corrections and updates

Perfume information changes. Launch details can be updated, formulations evolve and new information about a fragrance or its creator can emerge.

When significant new information becomes available, articles may be corrected or updated.

The objective is not to pretend that mistakes never happen, but to correct them when they do.

A final note

Davide Parfums is not interested in being the final authority on what anyone should wear.

Perfume is too personal for that.

This website exists to document fragrances, discover the people and stories behind them and share one perspective among many.

Curiosity comes first. Everything else follows.
