Germaine Cellier
Germaine Cellier (1909–1976) was a pioneering French perfumer celebrated for her bold, unconventional approach to fragrance. Working in an industry then dominated by men, she created some of the twentieth century’s most influential perfumes, including Robert Piguet Fracas and Bandit, Balmain Vent Vert and Jolie Madame. Her fearless use of tuberose, galbanum and powerful leather accords helped redefine modern perfumery.
